Dublin Unlocked creates private tours shaped around the people travelling with us. We bring deep knowledge, attentive guiding and a sense of fun to each journey, leaving room for the conversations and unexpected moments that make Ireland memorable.
A day shaped around you
We begin by listening. Some guests come for history; others are drawn to landscapes, food, family connections or everyday Irish life. We shape the route and the pace around what matters to you.
Our guides bring serious preparation to each day, then pay attention to what happens in the moment. A question, a view or a conversation can become part of the journey. From a walk through Dublin to a day across the country, we want you to feel the place as well as see it.
Built on experience
Dublin Unlocked was founded by Jim Dempsey, a full-time guide and guide educator. Jim holds the National Tour Guide badge and the Dublin City & Environs badge, and has taught the National Tour Guide programme six times. His work spans Dublin walking tours, private journeys across Ireland and professional driver-guiding.
Jim is building a team of professional guides who share this approach. Each guide brings their own knowledge and personality, supported by shared standards of preparation, judgement and care for guests. His experience teaching and mentoring guides is central to how Dublin Unlocked grows.
