CHAUFFEUR DRIVER TRAINING.
ENHANCING GUIDING SKILLS
Turn Every Journey Into a Guided Experience
Ireland’s chauffeurs are renowned for professionalism, discretion, and service. But today the industry has seen a rapid growth in private tours. This places many professional chauffeurs in unfamiliar territory as tour guides. This course is designed to bridge that gap — giving professional drivers the skills of expert guides.

About the Trainer
Jim Dempsey is one of Ireland’s few guides to hold both the Dublin & Environs and National Guide qualifications, with over 20 years’ experience leading tours in all areas of the tourism business.
He has also trained and graduated nearly 200 guides, earning recognition as a proven educator in the industry. His National Tour Guide course was very successful with student numbers quadrupling in three years.
He is now establishing his own courses privately with effective and direct teaching to established professionals in their field.
His tours are praised for engaging storytelling, deep knowledge, and the ability to adapt to each client. Guests call him “extremely knowledgeable,” “a natural storyteller,” and “more like a friend than just a guide.”
These are the very skills this programme develops in professional drivers. Jim shows chauffeurs how to transform travel time into a guided experience — clear, flexible, client-focused commentary that builds reputation, delivers higher-value experiences, and wins repeat business.
